There is a lab in College Station that will test your soil. We have the kits available in our office on the 3rd floor of the Courthouse in Athens.

I have several acres cleared to begin a small fruit orchard for personal use. I want to focus on Texas-hardy trees. I have no particular interest in peaches. What other types of fruit trees do you suggest?
BTW I have beehives in the area for pollination.
Open area is located at 32°10’02.5″N 95°37’44.7″W. Can’t define the soil type but it might be Nl or Ns on the soil map.
